Hair loss is a progressive hair thinning condition called androgenic alopecia. It is the state of lacking hair where it often grows, from the head or body. Usually it occurs in adult male and female. The amount of hair loss can vary.

Hair may start to disappear from the head or body at late 20s or early 30s.

Hair loss is a common problem in many men and women but that doesn’t mean “baldness”. Hair could be thins out over the years. Some people are not troubled by this but some others suffer great emotional distress.

Telogen effluvium is a condition of hair loss in women. Because it increases a while after its trigger and causes generalized thinning of hair solidity relatively than a bald patch. It can occur at any age usually begins fairly suddenly and gets better on its own within six months.

Causes

Treatment

Unfortunately, 99% of all products being marketed are ineffective for the majority of people, those who use them. The American Hair Loss Association recognizes that, “hair loss is an extremely emotionally distressing disease that can make those afflicted particularly vulnerable”. Because of these reason, the AHLA advises against purchasing any hair loss product which is not approved by the FDA or recommended by The AHLA.

Cosmetic treatments like wigs or hair thickeners, or medical therapies. Surgical techniques have enhanced very much in the past couple of decades, but this is still an alternative that requires careful deliberation.

The latest drug treatment is Finasteride. It works by slowing down hair loss. It’s also reported to cause new hair growth.

The last option is hair-replacement surgery. It works best on younger people with early hair loss, but a big drawback is always needed to use minoxidil for an indefinite period or the new hair will fall down.
